Maribeth Salge, PT, ATC, CSCS, RCEP
Maribeth Salge has made physical activity a part of her life from an early age. Growing up in southeast Missouri,
she was strongly influenced by a talented physical education teacher to pursue her interest in health and personal
fitness. Maribeth's commitment to her own rigorous training program has allowed her to live actively and successfully
with fibromyalgia, CFS and benign hypermobility syndrome.
After graduating from Arkansas State University with a degree in Management, Maribeth earned a degree in
physical therapy and a master's degree in exercise physiology from University of Central Florida. She is also
an ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, an ACE and AFAA-certified personal trainer, certified
athletic trainer and NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Jan Salge, PT, ATC, CSCS
Jan Salge has been involved in sports since childhood. Moving from Hamburg, Germany, Jan graduated from
Cocoa High School where he was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame.
His talent as a kicker earned him a scholarship to Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS, starting all 4 years.
After undergoing surgery and rehabilitation for a serious knee injury sustained during his senior year, Jan decided to pursue a
career in physical therapy and athletic training. He received his degree in physical therapy from Rockhurst
University in Kansas City, MO. Jan is also an ACE-certified personal trainer and NSCA Certified Strength and
Conditioning Specialist.
Jan and Maribeth founded Better Bodies, Inc. in order to practice health and fitness in a setting that embodies their unique combination
of rehab and fitness experience and education and expresses their philosophy of programming based on individual
needs and goals. They believe that successful outcomes require a strong professional knowledge base and the
ability to listen and plan according to the objectives of their patients and clients.
